Mississippi River Festival program
The Mississippi River Festival was founded in 1969 and became an instant summer tradition. Between 1969 and 1980, more than 1.5 million people attended the annual outdoor festival. Audiences flocked to see stars like Joan Baez and Bob Dylan and groups like the 5th Dimension and the Who, as well as classical performances by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
