Humpty Dumpty Circus toy set
The Humpty Dumpty Circus, first produced in 1903 by Albert Schoenhut, combined the artistry of the decorative wooden figures with innovative styles in their hands and feet that permitted them to grasp objects. These unique wooden characters are jointed, allowing the child to pose them performing an act or trick. The popularity of the Humpty Dumpty Circus peaked between 1910 and 1918. By 1935 the Schoenhut Company had closed, but the wooden circus continues to live in the center ring for toy enthusiasts.
