35th Division Air Corps Flying Club trophy
Charles Lindbergh received many trophies over the years, all of which can be found in the Lindbergh Collection, and this one was given to him right here in St. Louis. It was presented to Lindbergh by the 35th Division Air Corps, of which he was formerly a member. Notably, this trophy claims the aviator’s historic flight was from St. Louis to Paris—a distance of 4,550 miles rather than the 3,610-mile distance from New York to Paris. However, he touched down in New York, waiting there for the weather to clear enough for him to take off for Paris.
