Pink kitchen play set

This pink stove is part of a kitchen play set made by Wolverine Supply & Manufacturing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the 1950s. The set was featured in the Stix, Baer & Fuller holiday catalog in 1959, advertised as just the “Rite-Hite” for young cooks. Toys like these offered children the opportunity to pretend to be adults, one of the essential functions of play.
